A Spotlight on Electra’s Story
Recently, I had the privilege of being interviewed by Shoutout Colorado, where I shared how and why I started It’s Electra Digital. The feature provided an opportunity to discuss what sets my company apart, the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and why community matters so much to me.
For me, starting a business came down to a choice. I could work for another agency and risk falling into the questionable practices I had seen too often in digital marketing, or I could build something that felt meaningful. I chose the latter because I wanted a business where education and long-term success were the top priorities.
Why I Started It’s Electra Digital
Too many agencies cut corners, hide behind jargon, or push services that aren’t truly in the client’s best interest. That never sat right with me.
Electra gave me the chance to do things differently. I wanted to build trust, share knowledge, and empower small business owners with the tools they need for growth. That meant:
-
Breaking down SEO and digital marketing in plain language
-
Designing websites that business owners could actually understand and manage
-
Providing hands-on support, not just reports or buzzwords
It’s not about quick wins. It’s about creating a foundation for long-term growth and helping clients feel capable, not confused.
What Sets Electra Apart
During the interview, I explained that It’s Electra Digital is more than just a marketing agency. It’s a partnership.
Here’s what that looks like:
-
Education-first approach: Clients understand what we’re doing and why.
-
Hands-on support: We don’t just hand over a strategy — we walk alongside our clients.
-
Local impact: I’m proudest of the work we’ve done to help Colorado Springs businesses go from stuck to growing with confidence.
The challenges of building this business, balancing client work, learning systems, and figuring things out as I went, taught me that consistency matters more than perfection. That philosophy is at the core of Electra today.
The Importance of Community
Shoutout Colorado also gave me the chance to highlight how much community means to me. Colorado Springs has been the perfect home for Electra, not just because of the opportunities here, but because of the people.
Community also shapes how Electra approaches marketing. Authentic marketing comes from genuine relationships, and helping clients show up authentically online is part of how we strengthen the community as a whole.
Lessons I’ve Learned Along the Way
The interview asked about lessons from entrepreneurship, and I shared one of the biggest: you don’t need all the answers before you start.
Here are a few more takeaways I stand by:
-
Consistency beats perfection. Show up regularly, even if it isn’t flawless.
-
Build around your values. For me, that’s transparency, education, and genuine support.
-
Lean on your people. My family, partner, and friends have been essential in helping me build Electra.
When you ground your business in values and community, the right clients will find you.
Life in Colorado Springs

The feature also allowed me to share a bit about what makes this city special to me.
If a friend were visiting, I’d take them for brunch downtown, shopping in Old Colorado City, and out to Garden of the Gods. We’d end the day with local
breweries, live music, or even a night at Hooked on Hookah.
Colorado Springs is more than where I run my business; it’s been home for the majority of my life. Showcasing those local gems was a fun reminder of why I love this community.
Gratitude for Support
Finally, I had the chance to give credit where it’s due. My mom and dad, both entrepreneurs themselves, showed me what’s possible. My sister encouraged me when I chose to go full-time. My partner, Ramy, has supported me in every way. And my friends have been my cheerleaders at every high and low.

Electra exists because of that support system, and I’ll always be grateful for their support.
